YCAC SIGNATURE COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS

MLK DREAMER AWARDS GALA

YCAC's signature formal event is always a great time, and a fun way to show appreciation to those who impact the Yazoo community, and also inspire children to explore artistic expressions and help keep Dr. King's dream alive.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Thousands of dollars have been raised for scholarships for high school students of our community in memory of YCAC Soror Dorothy Gates, a beloved educator. These funds are raised through various efforts, including youth pageants, social events, and donations. Click her photo to access an application.

GO RED FOR WOMEN

Every February, YCAC acknowledges "Go Red" day by inspiring the community to wear red and participate in some form of physical activity to promote good health and heart disease awareness.

JUANITA WASHINGTON LUNCHEON

The "Juanita Scott Washington Joyful Luncheon" is an annual opportunity to host a full course meal for the senior citizens in the Yazoo community. The event is named after one of our beloved Charter Members who left a legacy of giving and caring for the elderly.

PINK SYMPOSIUM

This annual Breast Cancer Awareness event is always a grand opportunity to honor our local breast cancer survivors, while also informing citizens and chapter members about best ways to prevent or cope with the disease.

VOTER REGISTRATION
YCAC has always played an active role in getting citizens registered to vote in local, state, and national elections. Our current focus is to become more vocal regarding issues of redistricting and potential redlining in our communities.
